Mark Scott Homes, an award-winning custom home builder serving Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana, is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our growing team. We build high-quality homes with a strong focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and an exceptional homeowner experience.
As a Carpenter with Mark Scott Homes, you’ll work on a variety of framing and finish tasks—from structural framing and exterior details to interior millwork, trim, and specialty features unique to each custom home. You’ll collaborate closely with our project managers, site managers, and trusted trade partners to deliver workmanship that meets the high standards our clients expect.
Responsibilities

Perform framing, blocking, and structural carpentry tasks

Install interior and exterior trim, doors, casing, base, and other finish details

Assist with specialty carpentry features such as built-ins, custom accents, and unique architectural designs

Read and interpret construction drawings

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized jobsite

Ensure work meets Mark Scott Homes’ quality and craftsmanship standards

Communicate clearly with the team and contribute to a positive jobsite environment
Qualifications

3+ years experience in residential construction or carpentry (custom home experience preferred)

Strong skills in both framing and finish carpentry

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and pride in quality

Reliable, punctual, and respectful

Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
